On Tuesday, February 13th police stopped 36 year old Crosby Camp for a routine traffic stop in Ivins, Utah.
Once Camp was pulled over the Utah Police discovered that his Arizona drivers license had been revoked. He also had a warrant out for his arrest in Arizona as well.
The officers asked Camp to get out of his vehicle. When he refused and put the keys back in the ignition and started the car back up police began to reach into the vehicle to remove Camp from the car. This prompted Camp to put the car into drive and accelerate at a high speed dragging the two police officers for some distance.
Once he began driving again Camp then threw out a glass pipe, a syringe, and heroin out of his car.
According to Fox 13:
Officers caught up to Camp after a vehicle pursuit and arrested him. According to court documents, officers conducted a field sobriety test on Camp and found him incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle.
Camp is currently booked in the Washington County Jail.
Crosby Camp, 36, has 10 charges brought against him, including two counts of assault against a police officer, one count of drug possession, obstruction of justice, and driving under the influence.
Skilled Defense Against Utah Drug Charges
Utah’s drug laws are a lot broader than many people realize. For example, did you know that sharing a controlled pain pill with a friend who is suffering from a serious illness is just as illegal as sharing a joint? A drug charge — even one not involving a driving offense — can also result in a six-month suspension of your driver’s license. Knowledgeable Salt Lake City DUI Defense From A Former Cop
