Utah's new DUI Law dropped the BAC (blood alcohol concentration) level from 0.08% to 0.05% in January of this year. I have posted about the new law several times. Utah Highway Patrol Makes First 0.05% DUI Arrest
11 Jan 2019Early on Tuesday January 1st, New Year's Day a Wyoming man was stopped in Coalville. The officer smelled alcohol on his breath and administered a breathalyzer test. The man blew a 0.089% BAC. He was brought back to the station and had the official breathalyzer test administered 90 minutes later. As usual the Utah Highway Patrol will be ramping up their DUI patrols for the New Year's weekend and Holiday. Also, the new DUI law of the 0.05% BAC will be going to effect on Sunday, December 30th.
