With St. Patrick's Day coming up tomorrow, Saturday March 17th Utah law enforcement agencies particularly the Utah High Way Patrol and local police forces in Salt Lake City and throughout Utah are ramping up their patrols for DUI checks.
Hundreds of tickets have been written out to distracted drivers for using their electronic devices while driving. 1,677 E-DUI stops were made by law enforcement and 878 tickets were issued to driver's that were caught using their cell phones while driving.
On Thursday, February 22nd Senator Jim Dabakis presented Senate Bill 210 to Utah Lawmakers while at 0.05% BAC. The senator had two mimosas before having an aide drive him up to Capitol Hill. He had the drinks and did the presentation to prove how ridiculous the new 0.05% DUI Law really is.

A drunk driver in a Maserati caused a head on crash on Interstate 15 in Weber County early Saturday morning. The DUI collision occurred around 1 a.m. in the northbound side of I-15 near Riverdale Road, in Ogden.
